As a digital marketer and business consultant, I understand the importance of understanding your numbers and measuring the profitability of your business. That's why I created and implemented the revenue per point system in my agency.
The first step in implementing this system is to map out all of your services and calculate the average points or hours it takes to complete each service. Additionally, it's important to calculate the average revenue for each service and then break that down into average revenue per point.
Next, I created a system where one point in our project management software equals 15 minutes, and then on a revenue standpoint, one point equals one hour. This makes it easier to calculate financial projections and understand your agency's revenue per hour.
The system was an "aha" moment for me because it showed me that the service that we traditionally focused on the most, such as website development, was not our most profitable service. Consulting and marketing were higher, and pretty much every service on our list was more profitable than websites. This insight allowed us to shift our focus to more profitable services, and make better-informed business decisions.
By implementing this system, we were able to increase our profitability and make more informed business decisions. This is a must-have for any agency or business owners looking to understand their numbers and measure their profitability.
If you're interested in implementing this system in your own agency, it's important to understand your own numbers and be ready to dig deep. It may be a bit overwhelming at first, but the results are well worth it. If you have any questions or need further guidance, feel free to
